Rick Schenkel has been involved with the Water Buffalo Club — a charitable organization helping at-risk kids in the Los Angeles area — for over 30 years. The WBC’s overhead is completely funded by membership dues, allowing 100% of all received donations to go to small, local charities.
The Water Buffalo Club supports and funds small, under-the-radar charities. While financial support obviously helps, the WBC also provides help in the form of tangible items (transportation vehicles, computers, books, school supplies, musical instruments, etc.) and its members’ time.
Our firm has supported the WBC in many ways, including financially supporting its Thanksgiving outreach — handing out grocery store gift cards at schools in low-income areas. In 2022 alone, WBC distributed 2,000 grocery store gift cards valued at $100, providing a Thanksgiving dinner to thousands of families that might have otherwise gone without.

Representatives from the Water Buffalo Club were also there to help hand out gifts.
