When I look back at the Los Angeles business community of 1959, when I started as an accountant, it seems to me that things were simpler. There were more manufacturing firms. The city was smaller. Much of our work was done by hand. There were far less agencies and standards to deal with.
Over the years our city has been more pragmatic than most, keeping up with new demands and market opportunities. Los Angeles is now filled with businesses in the service sector. Our profession spends more time as business consultant, working hard to help clients conserve income and growth. Estate and tax planning have become basic needs. Our clients look to us to help guide their companies and personal affairs through a complex landscape of issues, often beyond the realm of what was, until fairly recently, considered accounting.
As much as things have changed, there still remains a timeless set of rules for the professional CPA. Our firm uses these as the basic principles by which we operate.
Building effective relationships and offering the highest level of service continues to be the prime focus of our practice. Expertise is another essential component to our offering, because there is simply no point in employing the services of a CPA firm that cannot perform in the most challenging situations. We also work hard to bring a great depth of experience, a comprehensive knowledge, and a clear vision to our clients, so that we can help them make the best decisions for their future.
In the end, we are here for the sole purpose of making our clients better, more efficient and smarter, so they can thrive in the ever-changing, global markets of the twenty-first century.
